7 Out Of 10 Teens Are Struggling With Mental Health, Stress, And Anxiety: Reveals Survey

Mental health is a major concern worldwide and India is not far behind in sharing this. If we evaluate developments in the field of mental health, the pace appears to be slow. Mental health continues to be misunderstood, ignored, stigmatized, underfunded and overlooked. COVID-19 has in many respects been an equalizer and has placed at the forefront the critical need for good mental health interventions, responses and support during this time.

The survey conducted by Make Me Pure revealed that 7 out of 10 teens are struggling with the mental health amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. 81% of teens say mental health is a significant issue for them, 55% of teens say they’ve experienced anxiety, 45% excessive stress, and 43% depression, 71% of those surveyed say online classes, homework makes them feel anxious or depressed, and 65% say uncertainty about the future makes them feel anxious or depressed.

Young people are facing a whole new world and challenges these days. They are burdened with pressure of pandemic, studies, exams etc. hence they are facing many challenges.
