In September 2014, Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed the idea of International Yoga Day during his speech at the UN General Assembly. India’s Ambassador, Asoke Kumar Mukerji, introduced a resolution to establish June 21st as the annual International Yoga Day.
