New Delhi: In order to express gratitude towards frontline healthcare professionals, police personnel and others who are engaged in essential services, Indian Army’s Dharchula Military Station in Uttarakhand has felicitated the corona warriors, who are relentlessly working in containing the virus.
Dharchula Military Station Commander Col AP Singh with other limited defence officials distributed sweets and bestowed them with flower necklaces at their respective place of duty in Dharchula, a remote town along Indo–Nepal Border.
The Station Commander applauded the police and medical professionals for consistently working in high threat scenario and conveyed that “they are a source of inspiration for other agencies”, in our nation’s fight against the virulent pandemic.
Similar emphatic actions by the Indian Army to extend the gratitude towards the corona warriors were witnessed at various cities and towns as well as the remotest of the areas across the nation.
Last week, Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat had announced that the Indian Armed Forces will thank the corona warriors by illuminating the Indian Naval and Coast Guard Ships, flypast and petals showering by Indian Air Force aircraft and display of band by Indian Army across the country.
Indian Army had organized wreath laying at Police Memorials, Military band displays and felicitation of corona warriors at various places in the nation.
