Over the rising concerns over the massive surge of Covid-19 cases in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today held a virtual meeting with the Chief Ministers.
The meeting focused on state-specific scenarios to battle Coronavirus, including best practices and public health response. The Prime Minister urged all states to ensure adequate health infrastructure at the district level, and to speed up the vaccination drive for children in the 15-18 age group.
PM said we must stay alert, but we must also take full care that a situation of panic isn’t created. Focus on local containment, increase testing in the areas from where more cases are emerging should also be ensured, he said. Prime Minister Modi held a meeting with chief ministers over the Covid-19 situation amid the surge in coronavirus cases due to Omicron Variant.

He further added, “Initial skepticism about Omicron slowly getting cleared; This variant infecting general population several times faster than previous ones and Home-made ayurvedic, traditional remedies will also be helpful.”
