However, certain causes can be responsible in premature greying of hair. He further said, “Deficiency in diet is one of the most common causes that lead to premature greying of hair. Lack of nutrients such as vitamin B, iron, iodine, copper, and omega 3 and consumption of junk, packaged or processed foods play a vital role in rapid premature greying. Our body is heavily dependent on the food intake to generate energy and so you must pay extra attention to what you eat throughout the day.”
Stress is also a contributing factor that leads to premature greying of hair. The effects of increased stress are visible first on skin and hair. Increased stress has become highly common these days and it is very important to manage it as it is one of the biggest enemy of your physical and mental health, he added.
Sometimes, it can be genetic as well. Ethnicity and race can also determine the age at which the greying of hair begins.
Smoking can also be linked with premature greying of hair. It is a well-known fact that smoking is injurious to health and so it can adversely affect all the organs of the body and can be responsible for showing the early signs of ageing as well.
