Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan was tested Coronavirus positive on Saturday.
He has been rushed to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai.

Announcing about his health, he tweeted, “I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited ..All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!”

Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Shoojit Sircar’s comedy-drama Gulabo Sitabo alongside Ayushmann Khurrana.
The film was initially going to be released in theaters, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it premiered on Amazon Prime Video.
He will also return to host the twelfth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati.The auditions of the show concluded in May this year.Amitabh Bachchan’s upcoming movies include Chehre, Brahmastra and Jhund.
Amitabh Bachchan’s upcoming movies include Chehre, Brahmastra and Jhund. Last year, he had opened up about his health, saying he did not know he was suffering from tuberculosis for eight years.He had also said he does not mind calling himself a tuberculosis survivor.
“I keep quoting my personal example all the time and try and propagate the idea of getting yourself detected and I don’t mind saying this publicly I am a tuberculosis survivor, Hepatitis B survivor… Bad blood infusion went in and 75% of my liver is gone but because I was able to detect it even after a period of 20 years when 75% of my liver is gone. I am still surviving on 25%,” he had said in an interview.
The 76-year-old star, who has been associated with various health campaigns like Polio, Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis and diabetes, urged people to get tested and diagnosed.
The government had also roped in him to spread awareness about the novel coronavirus or COVID-19.
In a new video posted by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bachchan is seen telling people about the basics of fighting the deadly virus. These, as is common knowledge, include steps such as washing hands regularly, covering the mouth while sneezing or coughing, avoiding large gatherings and not touching the nose or mouth unnecessarily.
“COVID-19 can be stopped. Together we can do it, all we need to do is to take some basic precautions: @SrBachchan. Watch video to know all the basic precautions that needs to be taken as #IndiaFightsCorona,” the Press Information Bureau had tweeted.
Bachchan has also personally been urging fans and people across the globe to stay safe and take precautions against corona.
