New Delhi, February 2: As many as 304 people died and 13,983 people were affected from the deadly virus, the state media reported on Sunday.
According to the official sources, the total number of confirmed cases has reached 13,983, an increase of more than 2,100 cases in 24 hours.
As many as 331 cases have recovered, the sources added.
The new strain of coronavirus was first detected in the Chinese city of Wuhan, located in the Hubei province, in December and has since spread to more than 20 countries.
In Philippines, a 44-year-old Chinese male from Wuhan, who came to the Philippines last month has died from the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV). On Friday, the first two cases of the new coronavirus were recorded in Russia: in the Zabaykalsky Territory and the Tyumen Region.
