Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tested positive for COVID-19, he informed about this by tweeting this morning that he has tested positive for coronavirus and has isolated himself at home. Kejriwal addressed massive rallies to campaign for elections in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Uttarakhand in the past three days, said he had “mild symptoms”.
“I have tested positive for Covid. Mild symptoms. Have isolated myself at home. Those who came in touch with me in last few days, kindly isolate yourself and get yourself tested,” posted the Chief Minister.

Mr Kejriwal, 53, has been on a whirlwind campaign for his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) amid the rising cases of Covid-19 in the country. He was in Dehradun yesterday, and he had held assemblies in Amritsar and Patiala before that.
“The Chief Minister getting Covid is not a big issue. But people should be alert and everyone will be protected from infection if they wear masks,” Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said.
With 4,099 new cases in reported in the last 24 hours on Monday, Delhi has reported a rising positivity rate.
According to an official statement, the positivity rate in Delhi is 6.46 per cent. As many as 6,288 COVID-19 patients are in home isolation.
On Monday, Delhi also recorded one Covid death.
With the administration of close to 1 Cr Doses (99,27,797) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 146.70 Cr (146,70,18,464) as per provisional reports till 7 am today. This has been achieved through 1,57,38,732 sessions.

11,007 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 3,43,06,414.
Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.13%.
