The Kejriwal Government is leaving no stone unturned in getting government hospitals completely equipped to tackle the third wave. Health Minister Shri Satyendar Jain, on Wednesday inaugurated a first of its kind “COVID-19 Rapid Response Centre” at the Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital. The Health Minister while dedicating the facility to the people said that the centre will ensure immediate treatment for Covid-19 patients upon reaching the hospital. He also said that the centre will be handled by a 24×7 rapid response team to ensure that patients don’t have to wait. The Health Minister also informed that the centre is well equipped with ICUs and Ventilators to give immediate treatment for emergency COVID-19 cases without waiting for admission, saving precious lives. The Health Minister also said that the centre will give relief to COVID-19 patients and their families by ensuring immediate treatment without worrying about admission. He also expressed gratitude to the medical staff for their selfless service amid the pandemic.
Along with the Health Minister, MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj was also present at the event attended by distinguished health experts and doctors at the hospital.
Shri Satyendar Jain said, “This first of its kind ‘COVID-19 Rapid Response Centre’ set up by the Delhi Government will help in saving precious lives by reducing the time between getting out of ambulances and admission of the patient with a 24×7 rapid response team. This centre will ensure immediate treatment to patients upon arrival without waiting for admission and the patients will be shifted later on to the concerned wards depending on their condition”.
The Health Minister also used the platform to express his gratitude to the medical fraternity for their selfless and dedicated service in fighting with the pandemic. Shri Satyendar Jain said, “only because of the tireless efforts and selfless service of the medical staff, were precious lives saved amid the second wave and the government hospitals proved to be better than various private hospitals in terms of treatment”.
He further said that “the Kejriwal Government is leaving no stone unturned in revamping government hospitals and getting them ready for the third wave to save precious lives through quality treatment”.
Shri Satyendar Jain, through his address, urged the people to remain cautious and follow COVID-appropriate behaviour. He said, “We must learn from what is happening in the US and UK right now, the cases have surged suddenly thus we must not drop our guard even when the cases have come down and we must learn from our experience that any negligence can lead to disaster.”
The Health Minister said that the Delhi Government will set up more such centres at different hospitals to make emergency response more efficient. He also took to Twitter to talk about the centre. “Under the guidance of CM Arvind Kejriwal to combat the next covid wave, Delhi Govt has made a Rapid Response Center at Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital. This will be manned with a Rapid Response Team which will work 24×7 and will help in better management of covid patients,” the tweet said.
