A senior doctor based in Delhi, who was vaccinated against Covid-19 alone, had to face the wrath of his wife, who was heard berating him over a phone call on Twitter that is now viral.
Dr K K Aggarwal, a cardiologist and recipient of Padma Shri, was recorded when he received a call from his wife. When he confirmed receiving a shot, she was heard asking “Why couldn’t you take me with you?” repeatedly.
A video of their conversation is going viral on Twitter.
Doctor KK Agarwal got himself vaccinated without his wife.

In the video, Dr Aggarwal was heard explaining to his wife that she would be able to get it on Monday because he had already obtained the vaccine. “Main pata karne gaya tha aap logon ka, vo keh rahe the ‘khaali hai, lagwa lo’, toh maine lagwa li (I just went to check on the vaccine. They said get it done, so I got it),” he said while sitting in a car.
Not buying this excuse, his wife was repeatedly told, “Why couldn’t you take me with you?” and “Don’t lie to me.”
“Main live hun abhi (I’m live on camera right now),” the doctor says while trying to end their conversation. To this she responds by saying, “Main abhi live aa ke tumhari aisi ki taisi karti hun” – which roughly translates to “I’ll go live right now and manage you.”
Here’s How Doctor Responds To Viral Video
“I am aware of a video of myself that is doing the rounds and I am glad I provided people with a moment of levity in these tough times after all laughter is the best medicine,” Dr Aggarwal said in a statement.
He added, “While you may have enjoyed a laugh at my expense, at something which was nothing but my wife’s concern towards my health and safety, I would urge each of you to take the vaccine when you get the chance.”
He further said, “I am happy to learn that this episode educated millions on the importance of the vaccine, something that has been my mission as a doctor. I truly believe and I am sure all of you agree that not taking the vaccine is a bigger laughing matter.”
