Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya took charge of reviewing the preparedness measures on Cyclone ‘Biparjoy’ in Kutch, Gujarat, as the cyclone, categorized as a “very severe cyclonic storm,” is expected to make landfall on June 15. In his visit to Bhuj Airforce Station, the minister evaluated the preparations made by the ‘Garuda’ Emergency Response Team of the Indian Air Force, expressing confidence in their ability to ensure the safety of life and property from the impending cyclone.

Continuing his assessment, Dr. Mandaviya visited the K K Patel Super Speciality hospital in Bhuj, where he examined the emergency preparedness measures. He specifically reviewed the availability of essential resources such as oxygen, ventilators, and critical care beds in government hospitals, trust-run hospitals, and other healthcare facilities across the Kutch district. The Union Health Minister also emphasized the need for immediate arrangements of additional health facilities, if required, after the cyclone passes.

In another important interaction, Dr. Mandaviya engaged with the drivers of the 108 emergency ambulance service in Kutch. Recognizing their enthusiasm and support, he praised their dedication and regarded them as a confidence booster in dealing with the cyclone situation.
