The Resident Doctors Association (RDA) of the Hindu Rao Hospital has taken steps to pull back from Covid obligation from Sunday over non-payment of salaries, of duty for over three months.
It took steps to pull back from Covid obligation from 10 October ahead but since the letter was submitted after office timings Thursday, the affiliation pushed the cutoff time by a day to 11 October as it tried to give the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC)- run emergency clinic a 48-hour notice.

In a tweet on Saturday, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that MCD ought to promptly pay the pay rates of health workers.

Jain additionally hammered the BJP, saying it should “hand over” Hindu Rao and Kasturba hospitals to the AAP regulation in the event that they can’t run them.
“BJP is doing legislative issues over the issue, they (NDMC) acquire through a few assessments, and on the off chance that they can’t run their emergency clinics, at that point they should hand them over to the Delhi government,” Jain said.
Hindu Rao Hospital falls under the jurisdiction of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDMC. Visiting the hospital, Jai Prakash, the Mayor of NDMC, said: “We have not been able to pay the salaries but we don’t have any money. The Delhi government needs to clear its dues to us; the blame lies with the state government. I have come here to listen to the doctors’ problems and show that I am concerned about them.”

The RDA vice president, Dr. Sagardeep Bawa, said “Is this how Covid-19 frontline workers should be treated? Doctors haven’t received their salaries for more than three months. We are putting our health at stake and we are suffering in this political blame game.”
Hindu Rao hospital, run by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC), is the biggest municipal hospital in Delhi with 900 beds and it has been designated a dedicated Covid-19 treatment facility since mid-June when Delhi had witnessed a surge in the number of positive cases.
According to Abhimanyu Sardana Bara, the president of the Hindu Rao Resident Doctors’ Association, even if the administration invokes the Pandemic Act, the RDA will place its defense in a way that it would not stop the hospital from running the services but the resident doctors would not have to give their services.
