Inauguration of State-of-the-Art New Haematology & Medical Oncology Block at VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital

New Delhi, India – February 6, 2024 VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, one of India’s premier medical institutions, is proud to announce the inauguration of its cutting-edge New Haematology and Medical Oncology Block along with additional healthcare facilities, in a ceremony by the Director General of Health Services (DGHS) Dr Atul Goel in presence of Dr Vandana Talwar Medical Superintendent, Dr Geetika Khanna Principal VMMC, all Addl MS, HODs & ONS & staff.


Dr Vandana Talwar stated that the newly established block depicts a significant milestone in Safdarjung Hospital’s commitment to providing world-class healthcare services to patients battling cancer and hematological disorders. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and manned by highly skilled medical professionals, this aims to offer comprehensive care and treatment options, including chemotherapy, surgical interventions, and bone marrow transplants, among others.
As per Dr Kaushal Kalra head, Department of Medical Oncology and BMT unit , expanded Intensive Care Unit (ICU) facilities will also be there for the cancer patients in this block.These enhancements underscore the hospital’s dedication to addressing the diverse healthcare needs of its patients with advanced medical infrastructure and specialized care.
