Medical College Whose Students Had Sought President’s Permission For Mercy Killing Gets Permission To Treat Covid19 Patients; But Patients Complain They Are Not Being Served Food On Time

Patients undergoing treatment for coronavirus at the World College of Medical Science & Research COVID-19 Hospital, Jhajjar have complained that they are not being served food on time and no hygiene is being maintained.

Some patients even claimed that social distancing was not being followed at the hospital, which has been in news off late as students of the college had written a letter to the office of the President of India, Prime Minister of India, Chief Justice of India, Chief Minister of Haryana, and Chief Justice of Punjab & Haryana High Court seeking permission to end their own life.

The college has reportedly taken permission of treating 150 coronavirus positive patients but only four doctors have been assigned for their treatment. Moreover, there is no cardio, gastro, neurologist present in the hospital.

Patients even alleged that the doctors who are visiting them are not using PPE kit and giving them general medicines without any proper check-up.

The college, which has been turned into a hospital now, was in the news when its students sought permission to end their life. In their letter, they explained the reason behind it.

As per the letter, these students took admission in the World College of Medical Science & Research, Jhajjar, Haryana through the counseling held by the Haryana Government at Pt B D Sharma University, Rohtak. However, they alleged that the college concealed the fact that it had only conditional permission.

The students have alleged that the college has not passed any MCI inspection till date. College didn’t allow MCI and University to enter college and earlier inspections at time of establishing this college in January 2016 showed 99% deficiencies in the college.

It is clearly written in the Essentiality Certificate issued by the State Government in favour of World Medical College that “if fresh admissions stopped in the college then the students already admitted in the college are the responsibility of the State Government which in our case is Haryana Government.

“All of them agreed that our condition is really pathetic and the college is not appropriate for teaching and it should be shutted down and we should be shifted to other colleges but no one is taking a step forward for this process and our condition is really worsening day by day”, says the letter.

Students did everything they could, but to no avail.
