A notice on the National Exit Test (NExT) exam conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has been doing the rounds on social media platforms. However, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has confirmed it that it is a fake notice. The NMC sent out a clarification on the fake notice stating that the National Exit Test (NExT) will be conducted in the second half of 2023 and Part I of the exam will be held by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
The forged notice of the NExT 2023 exam was published on several media channels to mislead readers. The fake letter dated June 7 2023 claimed that a meeting held today disclosed that the forthcoming NExT will be conducted soon and the detailed timetable along with rules and regulations will be out shortly.
Fake notification has been circulating on various social media platforms
The fake notification has been circulating on various social media platforms and has become viral in no time. However, there is no official declaration in this regard on the National Medical Commission (NMC) website. According to the fake notification that appears to be interdepartmental by nature, the Chief of UG Medical Education Board of NMC, Shambhu Sharan Kumar has written to the Director of Medical Education of all the States and Union Territories and informed them about holding NExT in the second half of 2023.
The Undergraduate Medical Education Board has informed all concerned stakeholders that there is no such notification dated 07.06.2023 issued by UGMEB of NMC regarding authorization of the forthcoming National Exit Test.
The NMC officials have said that people should check all essential letters, circulars, and public notifications published on the National Medical Commission website i.e. www.nmc.org.in. They have said that it is recommended to check out the website of NMC to confirm the authenticity of notices, circulars, and letters.
The clarification letter from the NMS has stated that National Medical Commission will take appropriate action under the related law against such fake notifications on social media. The NMC officials have said that exams will be conducted immediately 30 days after the schedule is published.
