India’s Aarogya Setu COVID-19 contact tracing software has been integrated with the CoWIN portal, where people can find information and certificates related to vaccines.
According to the government, the Aarogya Setu app will provide a vaccination certificate after providing relevant information if the person has received at least one dose. The government had previously announced that the dedicated CoWIN app would soon be launched, enabling people to register for the COVID-19 vaccine and find other related information.
Currently, the CoWIN portal is limited to government officials who track the COVID-19 inoculation drive of frontline and healthcare staff.

Through a dedicated section, citizens can find the CoWIN portal on Aarogya Setu. Vaccination Information, Vaccination Certificate, and Vaccination Dashboard are three parts of the portal.
The information portal, as the name implies, contains the latest news on India’s COVID-19 vaccine and vaccination campaign. It also features videos around the vaccine program, debunking myths.
For those who have received at least one dosage, the certificate section offers COVID certificates. Citizens are expected to include their beneficiary reference ID here, which they will (or have) obtain once it is available after registering on the CoWIN app.

Notably, in India, the Vaccination Dashboard offers both national and state-wide COVID-19 inoculation drive statistics. Over 53 lakh frontline workers have earned at least one dose as of Monday, the data reveals. On the CoWIN website, the same statistics are available.
The government recently declared that the Aadhaar card is not mandatory for CoWIN portal registration. The government added that all rules are in line with the guidelines set out in the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM).
On January 16, India kickstarted the COVID-19 vaccination campaign.
Citizens will be able to view the beneficiary coverage program, beneficiary dropouts, scheduled sessions/ meetings held, and other vaccine-related details through the CoWIN app.
To access the CoWIN dashboard on the app, users have to get the new version of the Aarogya Setu app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
