Frustrated with the clash in dates of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate) 2022 or NEET PG 2022 with the counselling of the NEET PG 2021, students have now filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Supreme Court. According to a source, the PIL has been filed online on January 24. The plea is seeking postponement of NEET PG 2022 so that students can get adequate time between the NEET PG 2021 counselling and exams of PG 2022.

Students who are demanding postponement of the exams are getting support from several unions as well as lawmakers.
Member of Parliament S. Venkatesan, from Madurai parliamentary constituency in Tamil Nadu, has written a letter to Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya raising the issue and demanded postponement of the exam.
