NEET UG 2024 Retest Results Announced for 1563 Students

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results for the NEET UG 2024 retest, which was held on June 23 for 1563 students. These students had initially received grace marks due to exam disruptions but were given a chance to retake the test. The results are now available on the official NTA website: exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/.

The final answer key for the retest was made public on June 30 at around 1:30 PM. Out of the 1563 eligible candidates, 813 students took the retest, which was conducted in six cities but at different centers than the original exam.

Interestingly, none of the 813 retest candidates managed to achieve a perfect score of 720/720, which reduced the number of toppers from 67 to 61. Five out of six students who had scored a perfect 720/720 in the original test retook the exam and scored above 680.

In terms of participation:

– None of the two candidates from Chandigarh showed up for the retest.

– From Chhattisgarh, 291 out of 602 candidates appeared.

– In Gujarat, only 1 student took the retest.

– Haryana saw 287 out of 494 students taking the exam.

– In Tura, Meghalaya, 234 candidates appeared for the test.

Students who took the retest on June 23 will receive revised scores based on their new performance. Those who did not take the retest will retain their original scores, which are the ones without the grace marks.

There are still ongoing petitions related to the NEET UG 2024 results in the Supreme Court, with the majority scheduled for a hearing on July 8.
