Under its social service initiative, in association with ‘Udaan,’ Nurture IVF Centre spearheaded free Covid-19 testing in different parts of Delhi and distributed a large number of masks, sanitizers, and stoles to residents of the National Capital especially in West Delhi colonies. The new initiatives aimed at helping the needy in the time of Covid-19.
“There is a need to support the government’s efforts to make our country Covid free. For the well-being of society, we have taken several social and medical initiatives for the people who otherwise would not have got the opportunity to get those facilities.
“Hence, we launched a first-of-its-kind initiative to track down Corona patients and treat them accordingly,” said Dr. Archana Dhawan Bajaj – Gynaecologist and Obstetrician and IVF Expert, Nurture IVF Centre.
With all safety and hygiene measures, testing took place in remote areas of West Delhi including Ashok Nagar, Rajouri Garden, Hari Nagar, Vikas Puri, Raja Garden, Paschim Puri, Kirti Nagar, Paschim Vihar, Anand Parbat, Maya Puri, Krishna Puri, Tilak Nagar, Khyala Gaon, Meenakshi Garden, Vishnu Garden, Moti Nagar, Police Station, Rajouri Garden, Shivaji College in the months of August and September, with approximately 90,000 tests conducted till now.
The Nurture aims to reach most of the families in phases by providing proper treatment. The overall objective is to increase the count of tests, especially in densely populated colonies that have been hit hard by Covid-19.
With ‘Udaan’, Nurture IVF Centre expanded its social services beyond the free Covid test.
- Health camps, free distributions of medicines & ambulance services in remote areas. Regular Sanitization of Public Places, Plasma Donations, Lifesaving medicines arrangements.
- During the lockdown period and the current unlocking phase, the Nurture IVF Centre touched the lives of over 1000 people especially women, girls, and underprivileged children.
- As the world has changed a lot during this pandemic and it has brought an extraordinary disruption to the lives of the lower class, Dr. Archana Dhawan strives to do her part to help screen the vulnerable population and antibodies prevalent amongst them to be able to identify, control and treat the disease.
“Covid-19 outbreak came as a big socio-economic challenge for us. Though Nurture has been taking care of the needy for a long, however, realizing the cascading effects of the outbreak on human lives, we ramped up our capacity and collaborations to provide support to a large number of needy people. Going forward, we hope to continue and expand scope and coverage of our social services,” added Dr. Archana.
