Some new studies show that treating critically ill COVID-19 patients with inexpensive steroids can cut their risk of dying from the illness by a third.
The results are so clear that the World Health Organization changed its advice last year and now strongly recommends corticosteroids as a first-line treatment for the sickest patients.
In a recent video, Dr. Ashok Jainer, renowned psychiatrist, MBBS, MD, UK claimed that only steroids and oxygen can cut covid death rates. He said, “if you are infected with this virus, for the first five days you may have a mild fever, but the sixth day is very crucial as from the sixth day this starts getting worse and your fever may reach 102- 103 degrees. This happens when the virus enters your lungs. Hence, it is necessary to keep a check on the sixth day after getting infected.
He further added, “But if you start the treatment at the earliest then you can stop by that time itself and after this, you don’t need to go to any hospital nor will need oxygen.”
Dr. Jainer urges people through this video to not ignore this alarming situation and take it very seriously, as coming to the tenth day major part of the lung is damaged hence, the sixth day is very important.
