In line with the government’s ambitious Start-up programme, the Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV), an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Ayush, is initiating a web-based e-learning programme for Rasa Shastra Bhaishajya Kalpana (RSBK) education.

This programme will give the participants a practical feel of conceptual learning of the principles and knowledge of RSBK.

According to the Director of RAV Dr Anupam Srivastava, “In the current scenario, there is a great demand in Ayurveda system of medicine globally. For this purpose, there is also a need for quality. This course will help meet the customers’ desire for quality, safe and effective medicines. Since there are less Start-ups in the Ayush sector and to infuse young professionals of Ayush system to start their own small-scale Start-ups, this course will give them great scope. This programme will help in achieving the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of Atmanirbhar Bharat”.

“This programme will not only help in the setting up Start-up of the sector but will also be helpful to students in acquiring credit points to enrich their credit bank for their future endeavor in line with the New Education Policy,” Dr Srivastava added.

This e-learning programme will be conducted through a series of tutorials, which will run all along the course.

This programme is designed to provide students, practitioners, pharmacists an in-depth understanding and detailed knowledge of core-concepts of Ayurvedic pharmaceutical science, techniques and principles involved in the preparation of classical Ayurvedic and Ayurvedic patent and proprietary formulations.

For joining this course, candidate should be a graduate of Ayurveda or Post graduate of Ayurveda or B. pharma with basic knowledge of Ayurveda.

At the end of each topic, a student will take a test or MCQ and must attain minimum qualification marks to be declared eligible for the next topic.

A total of 50 students will be allowed to enroll on first come-first serve basis and a student has to complete the whole course within 6 to 8 months of enrollment.

Through this programme, participants will be provided the opportunity to gain knowledge about the well-known and reputed pharmaceutical industries, their working mechanism, latest technologies used in the large scale production of classical Ayurvedic and Ayurvedic P & P formulations.

The aim of the programme is to provide web based learning of all the pharmaceutical processing involved in preparation of Ayurvedic drugs.

It will also provide an opportunity to get exposure through live demonstration and working experience in the manufacturing units of Pharma industries to learn the concept of the operations involved in the manufacturing of classical and P&P Ayurvedic preparations, gain knowledge about the latest technology and advancements in the field of Ayurveda Pharmaceutical sectors.

The purpose of this institution is to provide a platform for innovative / learning pharmacy techniques in the area of Ayurvedic pharmaceuticals.

The focus is also to introduce modern techniques and recent advancements alongwith traditional learning in any pharmacy used in different parts of India, through virtual classes as well as in the field experience.
