Sachin Sarcoma Society: A New Delhi-Based Support Group for Sarcoma Cancer Patients
Sachin Sarcoma Society, a dedicated patient support group based in New Delhi works for supporting sarcoma cancer patients in India. Its mission is to spread awareness about sarcoma and build companionship with sarcoma-affected families. They have been organizing weekly support group meetings during pandemics to support sarcoma cancer patients emotionally, financially, and logistically.

All the members of Sachin Sarcoma Society have been survivors, patients and caregivers treated by Dr Sameer Rastogi of AIIMS hospital who are now wanting to give it back to help other sarcoma patients.
Sachin Sarcoma Society’s Milestone: Celebrating the 100th Patient Support Group Meeting in Association with Paras Hospital Gurgaon
They are organising the 100th patient support group meeting event on 3 April 2022 in association with paras hospital Gurgaon to celebrate life and instill hope, positivity, and courage in patients. This event is special as the society has been organising weekly support group meetings on zoom to stay connected with patients and build companionship and help them to support them in the best possible way and address their concerns. It helps patients emotionally, administratively, logistically, and financially.
Successful Launch of the 100th Patient Support Group Meeting with Expert Participation
The event started with registration and information sheets were distributed to all patients and caregivers. The event saw medical health professionals and experts in the field of sarcoma cancer from Paras hospital Gurgaon interacting with over 100 patients and caregivers who participated in the program.
Speaking at the event, Dr Sameer Rastogi, AIIMS hospital said that sarcomas are rare tumors and pathology plays an important role in diagnosis of sarcoma.
There were motivational speeches by survivors and caregivers and dance performances by Roshan Gupta, osteosarcoma survivor, and Drishti, MPNST patient. Ms Manisha talked about the importance of exercise and mediation during the treatment.
An inspiring speech was given by Ms Anya Yadav and overall compering done by Mrs Rashi Kapoor, President of Sachin Sarcoma Society. Mrs Jyoti Yadav and Mr Ashish Rana, Mr Lakshay Nagpal , Ashmaan Jain from team of Sachin Sarcoma Society made this program successful.
