The skin is the largest sense organ of our body. The skin has many functions like protecting the body from external objects, maintaining balance apart from the sense of touch. But the skin has to suffer a lot at the hands of accidents and events such as burning, wounds, injuries and others.
Plastic surgery has been a popular way of dealing with burns and wounds that cannot be treated on their own that includes taking the skin from one part of the body to replace the damaged skin on some other part.
However, researchers have now come up with a new technique which includes a gun that can shoot skin substitute over burns and wounds.

According to recent reports, Israeli biotech company Nanocare has said that it has created a gun that can spin out “spider-man” like webs that can cover burns and wounds.
With the help of this new artificial skin shot out by the company’s gun the patients can now move around and can even shower or do the things that they were unable to do with bandages.
It will even allow the health practitioner to watch out the wound healing below, as the “skin” produced by the gun that is transparent.
The technology on which the gun is based is called electrospinning.
The company said, it has been around for a few years, but the latest gun is far smaller and portable than the previous. The size of the gun will even allow patients to carry it with them wherever they go.
The previous reviews of the gun show that it can be a promising substitute to laborious and expensive bandages and dressings.
“You have this fine whitish thing on that’s fairly robust and seems to cope with most things,” Baljit Dheansa, a doctor in the UK who specializes in burns, told The Guardian, adding that it “does what it says on the tin.”

Spincare, however, does seem to only work with surface wounds and burns and won’t be effective for deep burns, which affect all layers of the skin.
“With this kind of dressing, in the right circumstance, it just means the patient doesn’t have to learn about how to do dressings, and they are bit more flexible and don’t have to worry so much,” Dheansa said. “And sort of relax a bit more.”
