We all want to have a good body and most of us do everything to lose weight faster and improve our health. The first thing most of us do is to remove certain food groups that are notorious for slowing down the pace of metabolism. A lot of us drink water in a bid to not let fat accumulate on the belly. The internet is flooded with ideas and tips for weight loss but do we ever try to find out how effective these tips are? Or did we ever realised that these healthy habits may be giving us belly fat? Today we are going to tell you about some of these habits that are not as beneficial as you thought them to be.
Not getting enough sleep because of workouts
Workouts have no substitutes and we all know this. Also, morning workouts boost metabolism in a much better way in comparison to evening workouts. Exercising in the wee hour of the morning can be a great kick-start. But this sometimes results in lesser sleep. It is important to get at least seven-hour sleep or else your workouts are going to backfire. Lack of sleep accounts for weight again as this causes disturbance in the body clock and the body’s functioning.
Working out every day
Excess of anything is not good, especially when it comes to our health. It is often said that one needs to get enough rest and recover after exercise. Having a consistent workout regime is a good thing but it is equally important to give your body enough time for repairing the wear and tear that is caused to the body during exercising.
Consuming low-fat and no sugar foods
Sugar is the first thing from which we maintain distance when we decide to lose weight. This is why they often end up craving for sugar foods. To compensate for the taste, people switch to foods that are low-fat and have ‘no added sugar’. Though they look like healthy options that help weight loss, these foods contain preservatives and artificial sweeteners that can thwart weight loss attempts.
