A significant milestone was reached during the event with the signing of the Gandhinagar Declaration. Health Ministers and WHO SEARO united to address the challenges faced in achieving the 2020 Tuberculosis milestones. The Declaration exudes confidence in ending TB in the region by 2030 through concerted efforts.

Dr. Mandaviya elaborated on India’s innovative strategies, including family-centric care and the “Ni-kshay Mitras” community engagement mechanism. He stressed the importance of technology and nutritional support, showcasing India’s exceptional progress in TB elimination.
