These samples have been sent to the National Institute of Virology (NIV)-Pune for testing and confirmation. Patients showing extensive lesions or respiratory symptoms should be kept in a separate room or area away from other family members and pets. Properly covering skin lesions with long sleeves, long pants, and bandages helps minimize contact with others.
