With the commencement of World Heart Day, we need to pay more attention to the nutrients we consume on a daily basis. There is a direct impact caused to the heart on what is consumed, and problems that start small like cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, are warning signs to becoming something really sinister for your heart. These diseases are silent killers and one many not even come to know what they are experiencing.

Limit saturated fat, red meat and trans fat

The AHA (American Heart Association) recommends the general population eat no more than 1,500 milligrams of sodium a day. It cites ill effects of excess salt on blood pressure and a higher risk of kidney disease, stroke, and heart attack.

Consume omega3s or fish in your diet

Fish is one of the best meats for your heart. Consuming fish or omega3 fats can decrease triglycerides, lower blood pressure, reduce blood clotting, decrease the risk of stroke or a heart failure and reduce irregular heartbeats.

Make sure you are eating enough greens and fibre rich food for cholesterol binding

Greens are your green signal towards a healthy heart. Make sure you include some form of greens in your diet on a daily basis. Fibre is equally important and acts as your filter for cleansing your system and removing harmful toxins.

Make sure to add 30min of exercise routine

Along with a good diet, a good exercise routine helps you stay fit and see great results in a short span of time which have long lasting results. Do not over exercise too but do not eliminate exercise from your routine as well. A good 30 minutes workout can work wonders.
