Bill Gates Is Predicting Two More Disasters, Warned Us About Coronavirus In 2015

Business Magnate, Philanthropist, and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates had warned the world about the pandemic way back in 2015, and now he wants us mortal people to know what disaster in the near future might be knocking at our doors.

In a 2015 Ted talk entitled “The next outbreak? We’re not ready,” Bill Gates spoke about the imminent outbreak of COVID-19-like viruses and stressed the need for the world to be well-equipped to handle the situation.

“In the next few decades, if anything kills more than 10 million people, it’s probably a highly infectious virus rather than a war,” Gates said, adding, “Not missiles, but microbes.”

In March 2020, at the same time that the coronavirus pandemic brought the planet to a halt, the video gained traction. But what does Gates feel about making a crazy prediction six years ago and not getting humans to listen to him in essence?

Recently, the Microsoft chief chatted over a video call with Derek Muller, who runs the famous YouTube channel Veritasium, and said he didn’t feel any good about his prophecy.

Gates asks, before saying, “There’s no good feeling that comes with something like this: ‘I told you so’,” “Could I have been more persuasive?”

Muller then questions Gates about how he was so certain half a decade ago about something like a pandemic.

“There are a number of respiratory viruses and from time to time one will come along. Respiratory diseases are very scary because you’re still walking around on a plane, a bus when you’re infectious. Unlike some other diseases like ebola where you are mostly in a hospital bed by the time viral load infects other people,” Gates answers.

Bill Gates Warns The “Next Pandemic” After Covid-19

Muller, aka Veritasium, then asks Gates to shed light on the next tragedy for which people are not prepared.

  1. “One is climate change. Every year that would be a death toll even greater than we have had in this pandemic.”
  2. Bio-terrorism. Bio-terrorism. Anyone who wants to inflict harm might create a virus, and that means the cost, the potential to run into this is higher than the epidemics that are naturally caused like the current one.

Would humans be able to escape the next pandemic with the world already dealing with an ongoing pandemic?

According to Gates, the response is NO. There will be more pandemics, says the leader of Microsoft.

He also speaks about vaccinations for COVID-19, false news, online disinformation. In the video above, you can catch the whole interaction.
