India Snacking Report reveals fathers’ growing preference for frozen snacks, challenging traditional gender roles in the kitchen.

Mumbai, 15th June 2023: As Father’s Day (June 18) approaches, a recent study conducted by Godrej Yummiez sheds light on a surprising trend – fathers in India are increasingly embracing frozen snacks and taking charge of cooking more than mothers. The study, titled ‘STTEM – Safety, Technology, Taste, Ease & Mood Uplifter’ – The India Snacking Report (Volume I), challenges traditional gender roles in the kitchen and showcases the convenience and versatility offered by frozen snacking options.

According to The India Snacking Report, 52% of fathers in India are now the primary cooks of frozen snacks. This marks a significant shift in family dynamics, emphasizing the evolving role of fathers in household chores and their willingness to explore quick and convenient cooking alternatives.

The report further highlights regional variations across India. In the East region, fathers in Bengaluru rank the highest, with 58% embracing frozen snacks. Kolkata comes in second, with 58% of fathers opting for frozen snacks. Pune secures the third spot, with 54% of fathers enjoying and cooking frozen snacks. Additionally, Lucknow shows a notable preference, with 53% of fathers embracing frozen snack preparation.
