Promoting Well-being through Yoga: A Harmonious Gathering

International Day of Yoga 2023 – Event witnessed enthusiastic participation and focused on promoting physical and mental well-being through yoga practices.

AIIA, Goa, a Satellite Institute of AIIA, New Delhi, organized a mesmerizing Seashore Yoga Session at Arambol beach as part of the build-up to the 9th International Day of Yoga Celebration. The event, held in adherence to the Ayush Ministry’s protocols, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 200 individuals, including faculty members, hospital staff, BAMS Scholars, and tourists.

Under the guidance of Prof Dr Kalpana Sathe, the Associate Dean of All India Institute of Ayurveda, Goa, the session commenced with an invocation to create a harmonious atmosphere. Dr Yogesh Shinde and Mrs Mohini Metti skillfully coordinated the yoga protocol, ensuring a seamless flow and adherence to the Ayush Ministry‘s guidelines. Attendees were led through a diverse range of yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditative practices, promoting physical and mental well-being.

Enhancing Public Health Awareness: Distribution of Ayur Raksha and Bal Raksha Kits

After the invigorating session, Ayur Raksha and Bal Raksha kits were distributed to the villagers and foreign tourists gathered at Arambol beach. This initiative aimed to enhance public health awareness and provide essential resources for personal well-being. The distribution further highlighted the commitment of AIIA, Goa, in promoting the ancient practice of yoga for the holistic development of individuals.

A Stepping Stone Towards International Day of Yoga 2023

The Seashore Yoga Session at Arambol beach served as a stepping stone towards the grand celebration of the 9th International Day of Yoga, which will be observed globally on June 21, 2023. The event reaffirmed AIIA, Goa’s dedication to promoting the ancient practice of yoga and its profound benefits for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Director AIIA New Delhi, Prof. Dr. Tanuja Nesari, expressed confidence in the harmonious union between AIIA New Delhi and AIIA Goa, along with the Ministry of AYUSH, in celebrating yoga for the betterment of humanity. Prof. Dr. Sujata Kadam, Dean of All India Institute of Ayurveda, Goa, emphasized the pivotal role of yoga in maintaining a healthy life and urged individuals to incorporate its principles into their daily lives.
